    TARIFF UPDATE: RETROACTIVE 50% DUTIES


    CRITICAL TARIFF POLICY UPDATE – RETROACTIVE ENFORCEMENT

     

    The White House issued an Executive Order on June 4th increasing tariffs on all Chinese steel and aluminum imports from 25% to 50%. This policy applies immediately and retroactively to shipments:

     

    • Currently in transit (ON THE WATER)

    • Awating US customs clearance

    • Not yet departed from China

     

    For DDP Shipping: Additional costs are estimated at$0.30 per kilogram. Contact your TranBay representative immediately for shipment-specific tariff impact assessments.
